Father Anil was born on February 16, 1984 at Kerala, India. He attended Government High School from Grade 1 – 8, St. Catherine’s higher Secondary School from Grade 9- 10 and De Paul College (Intermediate). In 2006, he received his Bachelors in Philosophy and Arts Degree from Suvidya College. In 2011, he received his Bachelors in Theology from Vijnananilayam Institute of Philosophy & Theology. He did his Post Graduation in Social Work at Andhra University in 2017. He received his Bachelors in Law, LLB in 2021 from Adikavi Nannya University.
After the completion of his 10th grade, Father Anil decided to enter the Seminary. It took him almost 12 and a half years of formation to become a priest. First, he started at Minor Seminary – La Salette Bhavan, Kerala, India. Then at La Salette Sadhan, Bengaluru, India for his Philosophy studies. Next for his Novitiate, he did it at La Salette Novitiate House, Mysore, India. Lastly, for his Theology studies, he did it at St. Francis College, at Andhra Pradesh, India. He was ordained on January 14, 2013. After his ordination, he was assigned as an Associate Pastor at Holy Spirit Forane Church, in the Diocese of Palakkad, India in 2013.
Other church assignments that Fr. Anil had were: Associate Pastor from 2014 -2017 and later pastor from 2018-2022 at St. Joseph church in Andhra Pradesh, India. In 2014-2017, he was an Administrator and later Correspondent (2018-2022) of La Salette English Medium School, in Andhra Pradesh, India. From 2018-2022, He was the Superior of La Salette Mission Center, in Andhra Pradesh. Lastly, he was an Associate Director at La Salette Shrine in Kerala, India from 2022-2023. At present, Fr. Anil is the Associate Pastor at Christ The King Catholic Church in Kahului, Maui, Hawaii.
Father Anil’s advice to young boys/men who are aspiring to go into the seminary is: “I would highly recommend young men and boys to consider joining the seminary because by doing that you are cooperating with God in His saving mysteries.”
