5th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Jesus chose Peter’s boat, and he gave the order to put out a short distance. He sat down and taught the crowd. Jesus was in command, but he identified himself with Peter’s boat and preached from it. The Gospel of St Luke stresses the role of Peter in the story.
